Colorado Stay-At-Home Mom Starts Innovative Custom Framing Business.
Kelli DeMonbrun sees an opportunity to provide a more personal experience for customers framing artwork, photographs, and personal memories.
March 13, 2012, Castle Pines, Colorado -- Belle Mountain Frame is a new custom picture framing company designed with the needs of customers and the local economy in mind. Customers benefit from lower prices, the convenience of having a designer come to them in their own home, and from the personal attention the designer provides. By using local distributors for most of their materials, as well as employing local designers, more money per dollar spent is circulated back into the local economy.
Customers enjoy the personal service provided by Belle Mountain Frame designers, who come to the customer for a one-on-one consultation. Designers carry samples of the full inventory of frame mouldings and matte options; Belle Mountain Frame has a wide range of colors, styles and designs to choose from. Additionally, customers can see how their piece will look with the decor and lighting in their own home. Since the company does not operate out of a retail store, the savings are passed on to their customers. Customers also benefit by sharing their Belle Mountain Frame experience with others, receiving a percentage of the sales in credit.
"I designed this company with the idea of providing exceptional quality and service, while putting people back to work. By providing our designers the opportunity to own and operate their own business with a minimal start-up cost, they experience control of their own schedule and income level - they can work part-time, full-time, or anywhere in-between. They have the freedom of more time spent with their families," says Kelli DeMonbrun, owner and founder of Belle Mountain Frame.
In addition to the business opportunity for designers, the company's use of local distributors puts money back into the local economy as well. "It was important to us that our business would help support the local and national economy. Our frames are made in America, and we purchase our materials locally as much as they are available." The statistics vary, but it is proven that much more of the money spent at a locally-owned business stays in the area when compared with money spent at a national chain store. "That is something we are very proud of," says DeMonbrun.
Prior to starting the company, Kelli spent many years in business management, as well as working as an independent consultant for many years. She has also provided staff training and consulting for other local businesses.
